Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 2280 Internal SSD

This is a PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD with sequential read and write speeds of 7450 MB/s and 6900 MB/s respectively, delivering near-maximum PCIe 4.0 performance. The drive achieves random read/write speeds of 1400K and 1550K IOPS, representing substantial improvements over its predecessor. It features a slim heatsink with RGB lighting for thermal management, consuming approximately 50% less power per watt of performance than the previous generation. The 2TB capacity suits high-performance computing tasks including gaming, video editing, 3D rendering and data analysis.

Samsung Magician software provides drive management, health monitoring and LED customisation. The drive is compatible with PlayStation 5 and Windows PC systems meeting PCI-SIG D8 standards. All components including NAND and DRAM are manufactured in-house by Samsung, backed by their track record as a leading flash memory producer since 2003.
